How does the TL-2800 benefit wastewater & water labs?
On average, our users pay less than half on yearly maintenance costs using our instrument compared to other methods. At 50 samples a day you would be spending less than $0.10 per sample.
TKN and TN can be analyzed directly after digestion without further sample preparation.
Our ammonia method is listed in 40 CFR Part 136 and approved for wastewater via the EPA Approved Method for Clean Water Act Applications.

“We weren’t really looking to get something new, but we found out about your ammonia analyzer and it’s huge cost savings. We were spending $5,000 on tubing replacement alone using our previous ammonia analysis method. The working of the tubes was not very easy either. You had to crack the top off and gas would shoot out. This was just for ammonia, not even including TKN. The acid and the fumes from that were horrible. We were happy to get away from it.”

The standard TL-2800 has a range of 0.05-500 ppm. High sensitivity options allow for measurement of even lower concentrations.
Our dual channel version, the TL-2900, is available for users requiring higher sample throughput when measuring ammonia and nitrate/nitrite.
You can analyze TIN and nitrate/nitrite in addition to ammonia via an optional activated zinc reduction cartridge.
You can set up the TL-2800 and autosampler and go. No need for babysitting. Average sample rate is generally one sample every 2 minutes.
The analyzer includes an onboard computer with USB ports that connect to networks, printers, etcetera. The system also includes Microsoft® Windows based data acquisition software.
